Latvia 2007

At the begining of May, we were in Latvia again, training children’s leaders. It was great!

It was a very full programme, lots of sessions, lots of time for prayer, and lots of time to drink tea!

Iveta (Children Worldwide Director in Latvia) had booked a Pentecostal pastor for the studies. We managed to get over the culture shock of an Indian Pastor (Sam)….in Latvia….speaking English (with an indian/american accent)….interspersed with a little latvian, and who shouted….a lot! (So loud, I could go and have rest and still hear the sermon whilst lying on my bed!) We loved his ministry. He was quite a shock for some of the delegates, but even the ones who did struggle loved him by the end of the weekend…..but they also enjoyed our more gentle approach to teaching! When Sam did a session – it could start at 10pm, and not end until 1.15 am! (And apparently that’s short !)
So…..we have come back a little tired, but all the richer for meeting such wonderful people.

Steve Speaking about children and prayer, being translated by Alesja.

And Kay teaching about being enthusiastic about the Bible! (I think the potographer slipped!)
